Turn iPhone HEIC photos into JPG files

Cannot open an iPhone photo, or need JPG for an upload? Convert HEIC/HEIF photos to JPG copies in a batch, keeping their original dimensions by default. Photos are processed in your browser without uploading their contents.

Prepare copies for the next upload

When a recipient cannot open HEIC, import photos or a folder. This page outputs JPG: up to 100 images, at most 20 MB each. Other supported images such as existing JPG and PNG can join the batch.

Choose the detail and dimensions you need

The longest-edge field starts empty to preserve original pixel dimensions. Enter a limit for smaller web copies; images retain their aspect ratio without cropping or enlargement. Optional target KB tries lower quality and warns when a limit is unreachable.

Convert the primary still and review its appearance

Output is a standard still JPG without Live Photo motion, HDR, depth data or camera metadata. Compare orientation, skin tones, product detail and text. Conversion cannot recover detail already lost in the source.

Process batches within your device's limits

Only small thumbnails stay in the import queue; conversion and full previews decode on demand. HEIC decoding runs serially. Low-memory devices may need smaller source images. Clear the queue at any time while reading.

Read the privacy details

Images are processed without uploading the originals, and results are created as new files. The queue is temporary, so download what you need before leaving or refreshing.

Warning: refreshing clears all files in the current queue!Unsaved results will also be lost. Download them first. Original files on your device are unaffected.

Why compress product images?

Keep product details clear while reducing the wait to browse, add to cart and buy.

−90%

Fewer bytes to deliver

For example, reducing a 1 MB image to 100 KB cuts its size by about 90%. The browser has fewer bytes to download, which can reduce image loading time.

+8.4%

Conversion rate +8.4%, with potential for more sales

A Google-commissioned study by Deloitte and 55 observed an 8.4% relative increase in retail conversion rates when four speed metrics improved by 0.1 seconds on every page of the mobile shopping journey.

Milliseconds Make Millions, 2020 · 37 brand sites and over 30 million sessions.

A 90% smaller image does not mean a 90% faster page or a fixed conversion gain per second. The study measured site-wide speed improvements, not image compression alone. Check the published page and your store data to measure the benefit.

Common questions

Can I convert iPhone HEIC photos directly?

Add HEIC or HEIF files to convert their primary image to JPG. Special encodings or damaged files may fail with an explanation; try exporting again from the original Photos app.

Does JPG keep Live Photo motion or HDR?

No. This tool produces standard still images without motion or HDR. JPG also replaces existing transparent areas with white.

Why can JPG be larger than the HEIC source?

The formats compress differently. This conversion addresses compatibility and does not guarantee a smaller file. Adjust quality, target KB or the longest edge and compare the actual result.

Downloads & saving

Where is my download after processing?

Normal mode generates results first. Then choose Download image or Download ZIP. A download request does not confirm a file is on disk; check your browser's download list. Authorized folder writes show Saved after completion.

What if my folder cannot be written to?

Writing to a folder needs browser support and your permission. Use browser downloads when folder access is unavailable. Original files are not overwritten.

Can I recover the queue after a refresh?

The queue lives in the current page session. Download the results before leaving; after a refresh, import the images again.

Will originals be overwritten?

No. Results use new filenames. Authorized folder writes also avoid replacing existing files with the same name.

Inputs & settings

What can I add to a batch?

Add up to 100 images, at most 20 MB each. JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, HEIC/HEIF, GIF and BMP are supported. HEIC/HEIF uses the primary image without Live Photo motion or HDR; GIF uses the first frame only. Batch settings are shared while each image keeps its proportions.

Can I target exactly 200 KB?

Set a target KB size for JPG, WebP or AVIF to try lower quality at your selected dimensions. Unreachable targets keep a downloadable result with a warning. PNG stays lossless and does not use byte targeting.
